Arts

Arts at Havelock North Intermeidate provides numerous opportunities for students. All students are encouraged to participate and we celebrate all involvement in the Arts. There is the opportunity to learn new skills or develop existing. Many students perform in arts outside the school and we recognise and support this.

Technology

The Technology Department at Havelock North Intermediate has developed an approach to Technology that involves developing products (technological outcomes) through technological practice. Adaption and innovation are at the heart of technological practice and the development of quality outcomes is encouraged.

Technology makes use of its own particular knowledge and skills together with those of graphics and other forms of visual representation.

At Havelock North Intermediate students are encouraged to achieve to their highest abilities and to be innovative in the development of their technological outcomes. We encourage students to communicate their knowledge and skills effectively in the different areas and environments they will be engaged in.

For 2023, we have four technological environments within the department - Materials, Robotics & Coding, Food and Science Technology.
