ROBOTICS & CODING

Year 7

Students focus on the development of algorithms and code to program robots through a variety of tasks. These tasks will involve them in the creation of sequences through to the robot selecting tasks to perform when supplied with new inputs. Children also learn about data storage and the importance of the binary system with digital devices.

Year 8

Students begin to develop their own digital device from the ground up. Choosing and piecing together the correct components and then coding the digital device to work in its intended way. Children will learn about how electricity works and will also learn the skills of soldering and develop their coding skills in new and hands-on ways.
