Student LeadersYear 7 CouncillorsThe Year 7 Council is an important group in our school who meet to present constructive ideas/suggestions from their class. Forum MembersThe School Forum is the student voice of the school. It comprises of Year 8 students. They meet fortnightly to discuss matters raised by the students of the school and brought to the Forum by the representative from their class. All Year 8 classes are represented on the School Forum. This is an important leadership role within our school and an opportunity for students with leadership potential to further their skills. Mr Ellis is working with the School Forum. Sports CaptainsOur Sports Captains are an important group in our school. Their role includes; leading sports groups during whole school competitions, helping with the organisation for class lunchtime sport, refereeing lunchtime sport when required, supporting the teacher during PE and with organised House sport afternoons. Each class is represented. Duties include: - Lead sports groups during whole school competitions e.g. athletics, cross country
- Help with organisation for class lunchtime sport
- Referee luncthime sport when needed
- Support teacher during PE e.g. organisation, equipment
- Support teacher with organisaed House Sport afternoons
House CaptainsEach House has four House Captains (Year 8 students – 2 girls and 2 boys). House Captains are appointed by the House teachers and assist them in the organisation of all Inter-House activities as well as playing a leadership role within each House. Duties include: - Represent the school in a variety of roles e.g. funerals, meetings
