Science

In Science, students explore how both the natural physical world and science itself works so that they can particpate as critical, informed, and responsible citizens in a society in which Science plays a significant role.

At Havelock North Intermediate we offer many oportunities for students to explore Science. We have a dedicated Science Room for clases to use, a weekly Scientonics Quiz for students to participate as well as learning about Science through the Inquiry process.

At Havelock North Intermediate we also hold a yearly Science Fair, which culminates int he selection of students to represent us at the Hawke's Bay Science Fiar.

Our Electives programme in 2010 lets students take part in two Science based classes, one bieng the Science Club and the other Science mechanisms.
