As an Intermediate School we meet the needs of our Middle Years learners through programmes which challenge students academically, socially, culturally and physically. Our school gains local, regional and national recognition for success across a range of programmes and activities which engage our students. At Havelock North Intermediate we encourage high levels of participation and we aim for excellence. Our School Orchestra, Symphonic Band, Choir, Wearable Arts, Dance, Drama and Kapa Haka groups showcase our strength in the Performing Arts. Our ’Out of School’ Musical Instrument Tuition programme boasts 200 participants. Our Technology programme which includes a Multi Media Suite and Television Studio further highlights our point of difference. Havelock North Intermediate develops leadership and celebrates success. Our staff are committed to providing opportunities for all students in both core curricular and extra curricular activities. We value the community support we receive.
