Welcome to Term 3 which is looking very busy with student engagement opportunities covering Academic, Cultural, Sports and Social activities. You will be kept fully informed of these through our fortnightly newsletters.
I congratulate the following 5 families who are the recipients of $100 grocery vouchers. James Barclay R5, Erin Connolly R1, Nicole Couchman R3, Jonathon Fincaryk R12 and Angus Yule R5. These families qualified for this entry into the draw by having their school fees fully paid by June 30th 2010.
Our school expectation for student cell phones is very clear. They MUST be handed into the School Office each morning and are re-issued to students at 2.50pm. If students need access to a phone during the day there is a student phone available in our Office. Because of the safety issues around student phones the school expectations are rigidly adhered to. Students disobeying these rules will have their phones held in our office until a CAREGIVER calls to collect it. If students offend more than once the phone will be held (with parent consent) until the end of term. Students who do not hand in their phone for safekeeping should not expect staff to support them if the phone is damaged or stolen. I ask you to discuss these matters with your sons/daughters as a form of support for the school.
Included with the newsletter is the opportunity for caregivers to reflect back your views on our recent School reporting process. Part of the survey focuses on the written report. Other questions provide opportunity to reflect on wider issues like venue, portfolios etc. Please take this opportunity to let us know your views. This information will help us shape our future reporting procedure and format. Please return the survey replies to the School by Monday 2nd August. more...>
